Bravecto Chewable Tablet (1400 MG Fluralaner) For Extra Large Dogs >40-56 kg

Bravecto is a tasty chewable tablet for dogs which protects against fleas and ticks during up to 12 weeks. The active ingredient in Bravecto is fluralaner. Fluralaner has a flea-killing and tick-killing effect. The fluralaner is absorbed into the bloodstream after taking the chewable tablet. Fleas and ticks attach to your dog and begin to feed. As a result they are exposed to the active ingredient and the effect occurs within 8 hours (fleas) to 12 hours (ticks). The effect against fleas and ticks will last 12 weeks. The effect against the tick R. sanguineus however, lasts only 8 weeks.

Because the active ingredient is inside your dog, you don’t come into contact with it when you stroke your dog. Your dog can also swim or be washed without the effect becoming less.

Bravecto chewable tablets should be administered during or around a meal. Dosage according to the following table:

Dosage

Body weight of the dog (kg) Optimal dosage
Dog 2-4,5 kg 1 tablet Bravecto 112,5 mg
Dog 4,5- 10 kg 1 tablet Bravecto 250 mg
Dog 10-20 kg 1 tablet Bravecto 500 mg
Dog 20-40 kg 1 tablet Bravecto 1000 mg
Dog 40-56 kg 1 tablet Bravecto 1400 mg

The chewable tablets should not be crushed or divided. For dogs above the 56 kg a combination of two tablets should be used to fit the body weight.

Use during pregnancy, lactation and in puppies

Bravecto is suitable for pregnant and lactating dogs. It can also be safely used in Collies and other breeds with a MDR1 defect. Bravecto should not be used in puppies less than 8 weeks or dogs weighing less than 2 kg.

Adverse reactions

1.6% of the treated dogs during a clinical study showed mild and transient gastro-intestinal symptoms like diarrhoea, vomiting, salivation and lack of appetite.
